Contact

We are a small institution. We respond to substantive enquiries.

Use the routes below to reach the right person directly. Generic contact forms go unread.

Publications and Downloads

All CAI publications — Working Paper 001, the Practitioner Manual, and the Project Assessment Workbook — are available for free download without registration.

For licensing enquiries regarding commercial deployment of the CAF methodology in fee-generating structuring mandates:

CCA Applications

The Certificate in Capital Architecture is a 12-week practitioner programme. Next cohort: Q3 2026. Maximum 24 participants. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Shortlisted applicants are contacted for a 30-minute conversation before an offer is made.

To apply: Send a brief note (200–400 words) to cai@wait-what.co with Subject: CCA Application, covering:

  • Your current role and organisation
  • The type of capital structures you work on or evaluate
  • What you expect to take from the programme

We do not use an application form. A direct, honest note is more useful than a formatted submission.

Research Enquiries

The CAI research agenda is open. We are actively seeking:

  • Co-authors for forthcoming working papers (WP 002–006)
  • Research partners for the empirical validation study (WP 006)
  • Practitioners willing to share anonymised mandate data for calibration of the Mobilisation Multiplier Model and Replication Readiness Score
  • Academic researchers working on blended finance, structured credit, development finance, or innovation capital formation who want to engage with the CAF as a theoretical object

We aim to respond within five working days.

Practitioner Network

The CAI practitioner network is open to people actively engaged in capital architecture — deal practitioners, DFI officers, institutional allocators, family offices, government finance officials, and academic researchers.

The network is not a newsletter. It is a working group. Membership involves participation in quarterly roundtables and biannual research workshops. If you are not in a position to engage substantively, the network is not the right fit.

Include two or three sentences on your current work and what you would contribute to the group.

Institutional Partnerships

The CAI works with a small number of institutional partners on:

  • In-house delivery of the CCA methodology for deal teams, LP officers, or government finance staff
  • Joint research programmes applying the CAF to specific transaction datasets or mandate types
  • Academic partnerships for course integration or joint publication

We respond to partnership enquiries within ten working days.

Media and Speaking

Tobias Temmen is available for a limited number of speaking engagements, podcast conversations, and media interviews on capital architecture, blended finance, defense technology financing, and the structural design of capital markets instruments for deep technology and innovation policy.

Include the format, expected audience, and proposed timing.
